Charlotte van den Broeck
Charlotte Van den Broeck (1991, Belgium) studied English and German and holds a degree in Arts of the Spoken Word and Theatre at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp. She made her debut in 2015 with the poetry collection Chameleon (Kameleon). The collection was awarded the Herman de Coninck Debut award.
In 2017, her second collection Nachtroer (name of a late night shop) made its appearance, which was nominated for the VSB Poetry Prize. She has been published in various literary journals in the Netherlands and Flanders. Some of her poems have been translated into German, English and Arabic. Besides being a poet, she is also a performer and seeks the ability to pronounce and experience poetry onstage. She performed at the Night of Poetry, Saint Amour tour and together with Arnon Grunberg she opened the Frankfurt Book Fair in 2016.
